How to take IMMEDIATE decisons

Use the 10-10-10 Rule to Make Better Decisions

You have to make some difficult decisions through the course of your life. Business writer and author Suzy Welch suggests making that call by using the 10-10-10 rule to get your priorities in order first.

This post originally appeared on LifeHacker.

In her book 10-10-10: A Fast and Powerful Way to Get Unstuck in Love, at Work, and with Your Family, Welch writes:

Every time I find myself in a situation where there appears to be no solution that will make everyone happy, I ask myself three questions:
  • What are the consequences of my decision in 10 minutes?
  • In 10 months?
  • And in 10 years?
The way the brain works, your decisions are rooted in feelings, and the long-term considerations should help in making those clear. Welch says that with the answers, you will figure out if the decision is aligned with your priorities, or maybe even discover your priorities in the process. The clarity of thought also makes it easy to explain the choice to those who will feel its impact.

The right POSTURES for COMPUTER

Sitting at a computer for long periods of time can take a toll on your body. By not sitting with the correct posture, it is easy to end up with back pain, neck pain, knee pains, and a tingling of the hands and fingers. Here are some tips on maintaining good ergonomics and staying comfortable at your desk during the day. Note: A 2006 study indicated that rather than an up-right position a more relaxed one at 135 degrees is suggested to relieve lower back pain.

This post originally appeared on WIKI-HOW

1. Sit up tall. Push your hips as far back as they can go in the chair. Adjust the seat height so that your feet are flat on the floor and your knees equal to, or slightly lower than, your hips. Adjust the back of the chair to a 100°-110° reclined angle. Make sure that your upper and lower back are supported. If necessary, use inflatable cushions or small pillows. When your chair has an active back mechanism use it to make frequent position changes. Adjust the armrests so that your shoulders are relaxed, and remove them completely if you find that they are in your way.

2. Sit close to your keyboard. Position it so that it is directly in front of your body. Make sure that the keys are centered with your body.

3. Adjust the keyboard height. Make sure your shoulders are relaxed, your elbows are in a slightly open position, and your wrists and hands are straight.

4. Adjust the tilt of your keyboard based on your sitting position. Use the keyboard tray mechanism, or keyboard feet, to adjust the tilt. If you sit in a forward or upright position, try tilting your keyboard away from you, but if you are slightly reclined, then a slight forward tilt will help to maintain a straight wrist position.

5. Use wrist rests. They will help maintain neutral postures and pad hard surfaces. The wrist rest should only be used to rest the palms of the hands between keystrokes and not while typing. Place the mouse or trackball as close as possible to the keyboard.

6. Position your monitor properly. Adjust the monitor and any source or reference documents so that your neck is in a neutral, relaxed position. Center the monitor directly in front of you, above your keyboard. Position the top of the monitor approximately 2-3” above your seated eye level. If you wear bifocals, lower the monitor to a comfortable reading level.

Sit at least an arm's length away from the screen and adjust the distance for your vision. Reduce any glare by carefully positioning the screen, which you should be looking almost straight at, but partially looking down. Adjust any curtains or blinds as needed. Adjust the vertical screen angle and screen controls to minimize glare from overhead lights.

7. Position the source documents directly in front of you, and use an in-line copy stand. If there is insufficient space for that, place the documents on a document holder positioned adjacent to the monitor. Place your telephone within easy reach. Use headsets or a speaker phone to eliminate cradling the handset.

8. An articulating keyboard tray can provide optimal positioning of input devices. However, it should accommodate the mouse, enable leg clearance, and have an adjustable height and tilt mechanism. The tray should not push you too far away from other work materials, such as your telephone

If you do not have a fully adjustable keyboard tray, you may need to adjust your workstation height and the height of your chair, or use a seat cushion to get in a comfortable position. Remember to use a footrest if your feet dangle.

9. Take small breaks during your workday to release some of that muscle tension. Studies have shown that constant sitting is very damaging to your health. Try walking around for a couple minutes, standing and doing stretches—anything to break up a full day of sitting on your bottom is good for you!
Take short 1-2 minute stretch breaks every 20-30 minutes. After each hour of work, take a break or change tasks for at least 5-10 minutes. Always try to get away from your computer during lunch breaks.
Avoid eye fatigue by resting and refocusing your eyes periodically. Look away from the monitor and focus on something in the distance. Rest your eyes by covering them with your palms for 10-15 seconds. Use correct posture when working. Keep moving as much as possible.

10. Exercise your hand by pushing on top of your fingers, and using backward resistance movements. Do a minimum of fifteen reps for each hand at least six times every day. This simple exercise will prevent you from developing carpal tunnel finger problems in the future. Even if you don’t have any problems right now, you may prevent pain later in life by doing a few good exercises.

11. Done!

"Collage Is the best time of your life", but 'REALLY'?

It’s graduation season, and graduates (both high school & college) are probably hearing those nostalgic proclamations quite a bit. Whether they're moving on to college, or moving away from “higher” education altogether, someone (probably 30 – 55 years old) is sure to profess that the student or soon to be ex-student is experiencing the pinnacle of their life. It better not be.

This Post originally appeared on Dappered

That’s not to say that your late teens or early twenties spent at a University can’t be a blast. Far from it. But High School & College… it ain't real. You're still leashed. Fenced in. There are bumpers in your gutters and training wheels bolted to your back axle.

You don't have anywhere the level of control you get afterward. You're simply not able to make all the decisions you’d like to. Whether it’s the required gen-ed courses you're forced to take, what the heck the dining hall is serving that day, or what time that class is offered this semester. Even your last name… your family (siblings, parents rep in the community) can box you in. Self-starters and creators can feel suffocated in the structure of high school, college, and early adulthood.

Control = Decisions + Effort.
Control + Time = Whatever the hell you want.

People who tell High Schoolers / College students that “these are the best of years of your life” thrived when they didn't have control. That’s not good.

If your life peaks in high school or college, you've either had terrible luck, or, you've blown it. And if you've blown it, it’s never too late to retake some of that control by making different decisions.

For the grads or soon to be grads, if someone looks you in the eye and utters the “this is/was the best time of your life” garbage, nod and smile. And know that even if it was awesome, it absolutely gets better.

No more fences.

Go. Do.

Be patient while meditating

Be patient while MEDITATING! As beginner!

This post originally appeared on WIKIHOW.

Every person who has just started meditating faces many problems. For a beginner, meditation is just annoying. When I had started meditation, I cannot even meditate for just a single minute. But guys don’t go with your emotions. Being in the same posture might be pain but your body has the tendency to adapt the environment. A how to? Post on wiki how affirms that as a beginner you must learn five activities for a spiritual boost. The five activities are:
1       .     Lying down
2       .     Reading
3       .     Walking
4       .     Working
5       .     Enjoying life

In the next step Wiki how explains that reading spiritual books helps to cleanse the spirit by helping to let go of inner conflict. Everyone can read to obtain spiritual inspiration. There are thousands of spiritual books available.

In the next step wiki how describes the #4 step. “Do well for yourself and others. The fourth activity is that of karma yoga (doing good). Karma yoga opens the heart, gives inner power, and develops the consciousness towards all-encompassing love. Karma yoga can be practised one to six hours per day.

Swami Shivananda recommended one hour, while sai baba is for six. Yogi found three to four hours per day.

The fifth activity consists of enjoying life. We should bring joy into our lives. That opens our hearts and brings light inside us. Everyone is predisposed towards something. You can listen to music, eat something delicious read a good book, watch a movie, and find out creative hobbies.

Read the succeeding paragraph slowly. The following paragraph describes what really happens when we meditate.

There are two levels of meditation. The first level consists of purifying himself through visualization, mantras, and breath exercises to activate Kundalini energy. Then you stop all your thoughts. The spirit entirely comes to rest. You let thoughts and feeling come and go as they would. Suddenly, peace and happiness appears.

Properly Remove a Tick with this Illustrated Guide

This post originally appeared on LifeHacker

One of the more dangerous summertime bugs is the tick, but fear not, The Art of Manliness has a handy illustrated guide to help you properly remove the blood-sucking pest.P

You should use tweezers to grab the tick as close to the head as you can, or as close to your skin as possible, and gently pull it out. Then clean the bite with some rubbing alcohol and wash your hands. Along with the illustrated guide, The Art of Manliness also shares some tips on prevention. Remember to always wear long-sleeved clothing when walking through brush or tall grass, use repellent with DEET, and check your clothing and body for ticks when you come back inside.P

I've personally experienced the unfortunate bite of a tick and, trust me, it's no fun. Check out the complete illustrated guide at the link below.

6 ways to overcome BOREDOM

How to overcome BOREDOM
Stay busy to stay energetic!
I our busy life we all are busy, always. We seldom get time to relax and think about us for a minute. But on several instances we come up with free time which is really important but on such instances there are also moments that are too free that we eventually get bored.
Nothing comes up to our mind what to do? This is called boredom. Boredom is nothing but a state of mind. When we feel lazy our mind starts reacting and the state of boredom start to overwhelm our mind and body.
But what we should exactly do at that moment. Follow one of the steps when you are slipping in the state of boredom.
Hello! Call up your friends
Friends are just amazing. They understand you, your emotion and being with them is bliss to some extent. If you're getting bored; the best way, according to me, is to ring them and talk on phone.
You can talk about your recent happening or you can even talk about how you feel about them, this is the best way to overcome boredom. This is the finest way to make your chat fascinating.
?!!?#$%$@ Start a group chat!
Group chat, something I truly enjoy. Call up your friends at your home or you can even go to their home. You can also gather some of your favourite family members and start the group chat at once.  Get some soft drinks snacks and any other eating stuff you may like. Share them and the group chat will be automatically started. Group chats is usually related to past experiences one had experienced.
Those are really funny. Talk about your school life, any amusing experience, and fake stories of ghost. You know talking about ghosts in a group will make you feel superior. This is the best topic in a group. When the fake stories will start being discussed, they will be automatically connected with a new one. One may or may not have seen ghosts but he will surely share any fake experience.
Whatsapp! Facebook – Get Social
Days have really changed. In earlier times if you needed to communicate anyone, it was really a difficult task. But now just click on a button and you connected with all your friends.

This way to overcome boredom is popular over the world. Indeed, everyone use this to overcome boredom. This is the mixture of the first and second step described to overcome boredom. Start using your Facebook account and open news feeds. If you use Whatsapp then send voice calls, images, and text to your friends.
Start Listening to MUSIC
Music is a better way to get out of boredom. Get your IPod and start your favourite songs and start singing along it in a loud voice. If you don't have an IPod then you can also open your T.V. and play any music channel. Play the music in full volume and dance or sing along it.
The best way is to switch to shuffle mode of your IPod. Listening unfamiliar songs will make the time period long and then you can listen to songs for a quite long time. Another thing you can do is to go to your bed with your music player and have a quick nap. It is also a good way to get out of boredom.
Play any sports or game!
Playing games or sports is a good way to overcome boredom. Gather some of your local friends and ask them to start playing. Games are time consuming. It will help you to be engaged in a particular activity which will eventually lead you to get out of boredom.
You would know that game so much fun.

You can also play any computer game like, Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed, GTA IV, EA sports Cricket, and others.

You Don't Have To Start Big, You Just Have To Start

LifeHacker

When you have a big task ahead you, getting started is the toughest part. Henrik Edberg of The Positivity Blog suggests you stop thinking about how you should start and just start.

Don't get stuck dwelling on the size and vagueness of your goal. Edberg explains what we can do keep from stalling:

Stop thinking that you have to get started in a big and spectacular way. If you have a big goal or dream or even a medium sized one then it is easy to think that you have to take an action of the same size to get started or to get where you want to go.

Instead, Edberg recommends you start small. Ask yourself what is one small step you can do today to get things moving, then do it. Keep it simple with each step and slowly build your way to your much larger goal. Remember, getting started is everything.

Eat LEISURELY; stay HEALTHY

Eat LEISURELY; stay HEALTHY
A simple formula to stay fit and healthy and predominantly SLIM.
After an analysis all over the world on obesity it was considered that 45 %( an approximate) of the whole population are suffering from obesity. There are also some people who are obese but do not ever accept that they are. One should never possess this quality of not accepting your inadequacy. If we will not ever accept our mistake or quality we can never bring a change about it. Hence one must accept his that he is inadequate; if so.

I always had the quality of arguing with everyone if someone said anything against me. One day my elder brother came to me and made me realise my odd behaviour. But I not agreed on this and added that I am not like that. But from then I started noticing myself whenever I talked and found that I am literally foolish arguing people when they stood against me. Since that time I accepted that I am like this and from then miracles started occur. After a few months I had mastered my quality of arguing and friends I now know that wise people do not argue. Accepting yourself is the first step towards change.

Once you have accepted yourself the next step is to acknowledge what caused you to be obese. The main cause of obesity is overeating. Most of us try eating as much as we can. As capacity of a car’s fuel tank is limited our body is quite similar in the aspect of eating but it stores the extra food as fats when we eat too much.

We need energy to be alive. Energy is obtained from food. But how we would ever know that how much energy is required for us? I mean if we don’t know how much energy, which is measured in calories, is required; we will eat too much which will lead to obesity. But our body has every feature we want. It notifies us when we have eaten much. But did we know that signal? Yes, there is a certain kind of feeling when we have eaten too much and we don’t want to eat further. As a bike has a fuel meter which shows how much fuel is left similarly of brain sends us signal when we have eaten enough. It takes 20-25 minutes for the brain to send us signal of hunger. But did we take 20-25 minutes to complete our meal? Not ever. We generally complete our meal in 10-15 minutes; eating much as we needed.

So now we have to eat slowly so that we can know if we need to eat more or not. When scientist involved in this problem they came to know that chewing your food thirty two times can make you slim. For more information you can GOOGLE this query. When we chew every single bite thirty two times it will of course take more time to eat. An average person chews every bite 10-12 times. Consequently, if we rather chew it 32 times it will consume more time. Thus we can easily know how much we have to eat. Chewing food thirty times makes the fat contained in the food to be digested in mouth which will help our digestive system to work less and hence it will work effectively.
So guys chew it 32 32 32 32 32. Remember this number every time you eat.

How we spend our DAY is OF COURSE; how we spend our lives.

Man is what he THINKS all day LONG

Truly man becomes as he thinks all day. Everyone think correspondingly what his beliefs are. If I am a painter, I will catch ideas related to painting not with music or dancing. Man’s beliefs are totally made up of thoughts he has all day. It is                                    scientifically proven that on an average we have more than 60,000 thoughts per day.
So every day we dominate thoughts which like and reject the rest. And after time it becomes our beliefs. Belief is nothing but knowledge and experiences.

For example, a man was driving a car and had an accident. The reason of the accident, when he was asked, he explained that he had seen a family member sneezing when he was leaving. He added it is not good and truly a sign of bad luck that if someone sneezes while you are leaving home, then he becomes condemned with bad luck. And from then he didn’t allowed anyone to leave whenever a person sneezed in his house.
What a silly thing that is. Can you ever think of this? Not to leave home when someone sneezed when you are leaving.

                                                                Belief
So now we know that everything of a person is his beliefs. According to our beliefs we address things as complicated or effortless.
I asked one of my friends, who studies in another school, to complete my painting that I got as homework. He entirely said no. There was not any drawing period in his school hence he didn’t ever hold the paintbrush, then how he could draw anything. His had no knowledge of drawing and no experience in that, ever. As I affirmed that beliefs are completely knowledge and experiences.
But you would be thinking that by ‘knowledge’ I mean reading books, newspaper and etc. But ‘knowledge’ is million times larger than education. Education is nothing but a drop of water in the ocean of knowledge. In a nutshell I mean when you are completely aware of the event around you; you are gaining knowledge.
Every field of working requires diverse knowledge and experiences. Like, a doctor needs both knowledge and experience for surgery or for giving medicines. Without these requirements one cannot be a doctor. An internet entrepreneur needs both experience and knowledge for working. A marketer should have knowledge and experience in marketing.
So if we want to be successful in any field we need to have belief, knowledge and experience.
How to Develop BELIEF
 It will be posted soon.

Be at two places at the same time.

Saint with Two BODIES
I have read only a few chapters of this book but when I was reading the chapter “Saint with two Bodies”
I was really astonished after coming through that Man has television powers.

Man can communicate wherever he desires either by aural or by physical emergence. I am sure that you people will never believe this but guys read the following article contained in the book.

“In its own way, physical science is affirming the validity of laws discovered by yogis through mental science. For example, a demonstration that man has televisional powers was given on Nov. 26, 1934, at the Royal University of Rome. “Dr. Giuseppe Calligaris, professor of neuropsychology, pressed certain parts of subject’s body and the subject responded with minute description of persons and objects on the opposite side of a wall. Dr.  Calligaris told the professors that if certain areas of the skin are agitated, the subject is given super-sensorial impressions enabling him to see objects that he could not otherwise perceive. To enable his subjects to discern things on the other side of a wall, Professor Calligaris pressed a spot to the right of the thorax for fifteen minutes. Dr. Calligaris said that when certain spots of the body are agitated, the subjects can objects at any distance, regardless of whether they have ever seen those objects.”©
You may not believe it now but all the thing said are literally true. I would recommend you buy the book “Auto Biography of A Yogi
Yogananda ji’s father asked him to send a letter to his friend who lived in Varansi. But his father has forgotten the address of his friend named Kedar Nath babu. So he gave the address of his common friend, Swami Pranabananda. Swami had these televisional powers. He had attained exalted spiritual stature.
When Yogananda reached that address he finds Swami ji seating in lotus posture. Then Paramhansa ji touches his blissfull feet and describes his problem. But before Paramhansa ji said anything, Swami ji got the whole matter. He agreed to help him and said that the man he wanted to give the letter will be there in 30 minutes and then went deep in meditation.
When half an hour was passed Swami ji was awaken and reported that Kedar Nath Is at the door. Then suddenly Paramhansa ji heard someone coming upstairs. Amazing, it was Kedar Nath. Paramhansa ji was dazed at that moment. When Paramhansa asked Kedar Nath that how he happened to come there, he said that he had just completed his bath half an hour ago and Swami ji approached him. He had no idea that how he knew he was there at that time. He added that he had seen a vision of Swami ji.
Swamji had the power to materialize an extra body and work through it.
This was the experience of Paramhansa ji when he met Swami Pranabananda.
