What is Flipkart's Big Billion Day Sales? Are they cheating people in the name of Big Billion Day sales?

It can be seen that it has increased the prices of many products in last week. Several Products have been added in last week whose prices are much more then on other websites

The following was reported by Nikhil Sonti on this question on Quora.

In my opinion, Flipkart’s “The big billion day” was a huge scam. First let me explain what I did. Instead of manually refreshing the page every 5 seconds to check if new "STEAL DEALS" had arrived, I wrote a simple python script to do the same. You can check out my python script here. (shadowfax92/flipkart_parser.py)

Basically, the script parsed Flipkart’s page every 5 seconds to see if any new product had arrived in “STEAL DEAL” section. If a new product had arrived, my scripted shouted “Ring Ring Ring” (Thanks to OS X “say” command :P) on my mac and then send out a mail along with few product details like Name of product, discount offered/price, status of product (whether sold out or not) and the link to the "shop now"/"view product" page. What I noticed (once the script started working) is very bizarre. Whenever a new product arrived (the one's with crazy discounts like 90% and above) in the “STEAL DEAL” section, it was already in “Sold out” state. This basically means two things, either someone bought all of these products within 5 seconds (which is very unlikely) or Flipkart was simply fooling the customers into believing that they were too late in selecting the product. I think the latter case is more plausible. Indirectly, Flipkart was attracting a huge number of customers to their page who finally ended up buying the next best thing.

5 things you'll regret not doing in your 20s

Is it even possible to have regrets in your 20s? After all, every failure is just another lesson to be learned, right?
Turns out there are quite a few regrets you can have as a 20-something (although the list is much shorter than in your 30s).

Redditors recently voiced things that they regret not doing in their 20s. Read their answers to make sure you won't have any regrets in some of the best years of your life.

This post originally appeared on TOI website.

1. Not getting fit
Your 20-something metabolism can make you complacent with your health, but start working on being fit and healthy earlier, and you definitely won't regret it. After all, exercising and a healthy diet can increase your happiness and make all your experiences better. For example, if you're fit, you'll be able to take on bucket list trips that require a lot of endurance and a certain fitness level, like climbing Machu Picchu.
2. Not taking risks
So you're heading down the traditional path to play it safe. Think of your 20s as a time for new experiences and don't let your fears hold you back. You're only young once!

3. Rushing to be a grown-up
You're eager to get started on life, but take the time to really enjoy the experience of being in your 20s. You have the rest of your life to act like a grown-up. Don't feel obligated to follow a certain timeline. "You don't have to rush out and get a full-time career job at 21. You don't have to shack up and marry the first person you meet at 24. You don't have to buy a house or car and have babies by 27," says Reddit user shewhogoesthere. "A lot of people I know who were in a hurry all through their 20s are now ending their 20s and feeling a bit depressed because they quickly extinguished their youth and hit all the goal posts and now they're like, 'What now?' You can't go back, you can't be young again, why throw it away so quickly?"

5. Wasting time on people who don't deserve your time
Yup, the old toxic friend syndrome. It seems like we have this regret in every decade of our life. But in your 20s, friends seem to take up more time and effort than other decades just because many of us are still looking for our significant others and haven't had kids yet. Make sure that the time you spend on your friends is well spent and that you're cultivating friendships that will last a lifetime.

6. Not studying or moving abroad
You usually have fewer obligations in your 20s, so it's a good time to pack up and actually live overseas for a while. It's a completely different experience from travelling, and it's worth doing if you can make it work. You'll be out of your comfort zone culturally and in every other way possible, which is a tremendous learning experience that will open up your perspectives and world view.

A fun way to acieve your simple goals

1. We all have some desires. Like we want to get slim. Now we have two options to achieve that goal. In the first option we do that work but we don’t have any GOAL or PURPOSE. We can't sustain this for long time. We just practice it for a few days and then trail our regular routine. The problem is that it’s completely boring. Like if you want to go for walk every day and it’s purposeless. But you stop doing it after someday because it becomes boring. Now if you have some purposes like you want to decrease your cholesterol because it may take your life. Now you have some purpose and now you can go for a walk every day.

2. In the second instance we set a HUGE goal. For example, we made our mind that we are doing a particular exercise to bring down that current weight, 80, to 70. We practiced exercise and yoga for an hour. The next day we again did exercises for an hour. But next day we don’t do that exercise. We look ourselves in the mirror and it says everything. ‘Nothing is going to happen. Everything is waste. Then why do exercise?” we say to ourselves. But these two points are a major problem in themselves.

3. But there is a third option in the middle of the two. We have to make LITTLE goals. And as we have achieved that goal, we have to award ourselves.

How it works:

For example you made your mind to do yoga every day. The first thing you have to do is to know your capacity. If you can do yoga for 15 minutes, next day take it up to 17 minutes or 20 minutes and when we achieve that goal reward yourself or just appreciate. We just have to do our work better than the previous time and we have to reward ourselves.

The benefit is that you’ll not lose the thirst to do it next day. Suppose you are willing to do yoga for 1 hour. You just have to do it 50 minutes, so that you have the thirst to do it next day. But if you kept your mind with same, you may do it today but the next to you’ll get bored.

Don’t do your work as work; instead make it a game and play. We never get bored playing but we do get bored doing work.

The basic concept is that; you have to be thirsty every day to do that work. Hence, do less then you will. If you want to dance 20 minutes; just do it 15 minutes. If you want to exercise for 30 minutes; do it for 20 minutes. And as you started doing that miracle will happen.

You don’t have to run or stop, you just have to keep moving. This mentality should owed by everyone. Everything takes time. You can’t build a palace in one day. It only happens in movies.

‘Set a simple goal in exercise. I have to do exercise 20 minutes today. But I’ll do it 10 minutes. Now it’s a little simple. I have to change my habit and it’s not going to change in a day. I’ll do it regularly.

Simple goal + simple goal + simple goal + simple goal + … = Big results!!!

Now go, DO.
